thinkLaw will be attending the 2017 Arizona Correctional Educators, Inc. (ACE) Professional Development Symposium. We are beyond excited to support Arizona educators as an exhibitor at the ACE Symposium by providing high quality services and resources in direct alignment with ACE’s mission of advocating for excellence in correctional education.

We believe equity in education is ensuring excellence and equity is at the forefront as we re-imagine education. This idea becomes even more critical when considering our most vulnerable youth populations. Right now critical thinking is still a luxury good. Only 1 in 10 educators teach it, and usually that educator only teaches it at the most elite schools & to the most elite students.

thinkLaw makes critical thinking instruction accessible to ALL students by helping educators teach highly engaging and rigorous lessons based on real-life legal cases. We use real-life legal cases because the skills, mindsets, and habits of attorneys — looking at problems and solutions from multiple angles, asking the right questions to get information, and making claims and supporting them with valid and relevant evidence — are the same analytical tools and rigorous standards we are already asking educators to teach. And our students’ inherent sense of fairness and justice motivates them to persevere through thinkLaw’s challenging learning activities.

We are looking forward to expanding our community of critical thinking advocates and educators, and providing Arizona Correctional Educators ( ACE ) with leading-edge critical thinking tools as they continue to help alternative education students succeed in life. Stop by our Facebook page to let us know if You or a fellow educator will be attending. We’d love to see you there!
