For this Fun Friday we’d like to introduce you to Luna, the unofficial 8th member of the thinkLaw team. She’s not salaried but is well compensated in belly rubs and treats.

Luna has a disturbing lack of experience when it comes to marketing, curriculum writing, or sales but makes up for the lack of professional skills in spirit and heart. She functions mostly as Curriculum and Training Manager Sarah Pfeiler’s office assistant. While Luna often spends the work day sleeping she has been known to offer some harsh criticism of Sarah’s curriculum work; going so far as to rip up Sarah’s notes while she was taking a restroom break. Luna’s a real team player and a constant cheerleader to the thinkLaw work and mission.  She likes to hang out under the desk while Sarah is working and offer encouraging barks and kisses. She often likes to take advantage of team meeting times to sneak off and eat all of her dog sister Addie’s kibble.

Luna joined the Pfeiler family on Sarah’s birthday on September 1st. She was part of a group of shelter dogs that were relocated during Hurricane Harvey.  During natural disasters families sometimes become separated from their pets.  It is common practice for shelters in unaffected areas of the country to welcome all of the pets that are housed in affected areas. This allows shelters in the disaster zones to clear space at the shelter for pets lost during the storm which ensures that they have lots of space to hold pets until they can be reunited with their families after the storms have passed.  This also creates a tremendous need for pets to be adopted!  As shelters accept additional pets that have been relocated they need families who are willing to bring a new member into their home.

Luna was adopted from Wayside Waifs in Kansas City.  She’s a mixed breed puppy who was 4 months old at the time.  She immediately bonded with the four rambunctious Pfeiler boys and made herself right at home.  Her namesake is Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series, a Pfeiler family favorite.   Luna loves going for walks, playing with the boys, and, of course, working for thinkLaw.  While a lady never likes to reveal her weight Luna is going to be a big girl!  She’s already gained 11 pounds since being adopted!

Luna has already brought a lot of laughter and fun to her new family and co-workers.
